The Wharf House, a beautiful waterfront reserve property overlooking Lake Mummorah, truly breathtaking, with fabulous winter sun and summer shade. A modern comfortable beach house inspiring relaxation and calm.
The whole house is built up on a wooden jetty to complement its position. It is waterfront reserve and the beach is across the road over the literal sand dune. Lots of locals go across the road and take the beaten track for a swim (about 200 metres) but for the faint hearted it is a 10 minute walk to the closest formal beach access with life savers. The beach is 8 Kilometres long and stunning. The house gets great sea breezes but is protected from the extreme winds that can come with beach front.
The house has a king room, a queen room and a huge bunk room. There is a very large upstairs wooden deck also used for dining.
It has 2 bathrooms upstairs and a wet room down stairs with a shower for washing off sand. Next to the bathroom is a large laundry with a washer and a dryer. There is a huge elevated deck at the back with table and BBQ.
The lake is great for all water sports, including boating, skiing, kayaking, jet skiing, fishing and prawning etc. The house has a double garage with rear access to the lake. Any boating equipment is easily moved to the waters edge. There are boat ramps near by and plenty of parking for a trailer.
The lakefront reserve is also a bird sanctuary and the following birds may be seen regularly: Rainbow Lorikeets, Galahs, Rozellas, Pink and White Cockatoos, Top knots, Water Fowl, Swans, Herons, Egrats, Butcher Birds, Monors, Ducks, Pelicans, Bush Turkeys, Kookaburras.
We have also spotted in the area Black cockatoos, Kestrels & Sea eagles.

LOCATION Budgewoi is very undiscovered and great for people who want the real Australia. It is 90 minutes from Sydney CBD by car. The house is architecturally designed as a holiday house for 2 families (sleeps up to 8). It is purpose built and faces the lake (Lake Munmorah). The house completely turns its back on the road. If you want to swim between the flags (supervised by a life saver and safer for overseas tourists) it is a 10 minute walk from the front door to the beach entrance. However, like all Australian beaches it is not manned all year round. Apart from swimming this is one of the best fishing beaches in NSW. There are dozens of beaches and picnic spots nearby. Budgewoi town is cute and has all shopping needs covered. Lots of great fish and chips. There are also lots of larger shopping centres nearby.

Amazing property and views
Cheryl Robinson - 18th June 2022This is a stunning property and would be amazing in summer. - Checkin process was simple - Very clean - Lots of cooking items supplied - Netflix and other options provided Lots of rules though - make sure you read. My only criticism would be the ducted air con was broken during our stay (in winter) and we had to rely on the split system to warm the house (which didn’t quite make it to the back bedrooms). East Coast Getaways staff kept putting the issue back on me to resolve.
